Thing #3

Setting up the avatar was a little trickier.
But it was fun - I love doing new things - even if I have trouble - even if it seems like I can't do it - usually if I keep on keeping on - perseverance.
And one of the greatest things (and there are many to chose from) my pastor taught me/gave me was the 'freedom to fail'. It is what gave me the courage to go back to school at 51 get a master's degree and a teaching certificate - and the courage to try many things.

Wow! What a story you must have to tell! I admire you for what you have done and am glad to see that you are truly a lifelong learner. It must be awesome for your students to see that it is never too late to be the person you want to be. I think someone famous said that--not me.

I like that, the "freedom to fail." I signed up for a triathlon next weekend, but I'm really scared because I'm not that great at swimming. It's almost like I was supposed to read this post today. It gives me more confidence to just go out there and try my best. Thank you!
